EBONYI STATE NIGERIA

The solution to arrest the ugly development or rather situations in Nigeria; particularly in ebonyi state.

1. WRONG REPRESENTATIVE:

Wrong representative[had eroded the idea and objectives of creation of states and local government Area[L.G.A] in Nigeria, which also, witness in Ebonyi state] The other areas include South- East and South- South Geo-political zones.

Wrongful representative should be abolished in Nigeria. Especially, as it affect states House of Assembly and Local Government Area council [L.G.A] which was put together to reduce the level of poverty of the area concerned be it, state,L.G Area or zones. Wrongful representative should be enacted into law as part of Nigeria constitution.

This is because, it's amount to the [Abuse of privileges to the indigenes ,depriving indigenes of their birth rights] etc.

I suggested the removal of that part of the constitution that provides for none indigenes to contest election both in the states and L.G Areas levels, outside their state of origin in Nigeria.

2. SIX GEO-POLITICAL ZONES IS NOT ENOUGH IN NIGERIA.

The present so called Igbo's or South- East Zone need one more zone to justify the dividend of democracy to the area, in accordance with the wide range or long profile of ethnicity which, is an opportunity to the Igbos in general to obtain the appropriate right , from the federal level.

The zone, which is to be re-created, is East zone; to be made up of Ebonyi and Enugu states. And two more states, being expected to be created from the new zone.

I put it to you, Mr President and Commander in chief of Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Olusengun Obasanjo; that the aim and objectives of setting a Nigeria Nation in to one umbrella may be defeated. If, you fail to create this new zones with an autonomous status.

Although we are not praying for the collapse of Nigeria but, pschologically, what i saw or hear or rather experience, since 1960, till date, need no debate or alternative but to embrace up one Nigeria.

Re-visit the idea of Retired General Yakubu Gowon in 27th May, 1967 for states creation. For the doubting Thomas, the re-location of East zone capital from Enugu to Ebonyi state was to confirrn the diffrerence from the old and new zone.

The re-location of Federal capital from Lagos to Abuja; is an example.etc.

3. GIVE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY, TO EBONYI STATE AND ALL STATES WHICH, HAD NOT FEDERAL UNIVERSITY, OUT OF 36 STATES IN NIGERIA.

I am very angry and embarrassed on the issue of federal university in Nigeria. It is to my greatest surprise that some of the states including Ebonyi state out of 36 states in the federation had been deprived the establishment of federal university in the area; yet we are pledged to acknowledge the identity of one Nigeria.

Infact, I am appealing to the political reform conference to harmonize the issue [Give federal university to all the 36 states including Abuja]. The political reform conference should direct the National Assembly, to speed up and enact a law in Nigeria to that effect.

This will so far check the imbalance in Education, Urban migration, Social interaction and as well as reduce the level of intimidation and inferiority complex. etc.

4. DISSOLVE N.D.D.C UNDER THE CHAIRMANSHIP OF UGOCHUKWU ONYEMA;

N.D.D.C. should be dissolve and restructured if; divided to democracy is to be achieved in the Area. And South East Development Commission [S.E.D.C.] should be established; to be included: Anambra, Imo and Abia state. Similar Commission should be also established at the East zone, to include Ebonyi and Enugu states, East Development Commission.[ E.D.C].

Thanks,

                                                                 Yours  faithfully,

                                                           Mr Christopher N. Mbeta.
